Masked hypertension is not easy to be found, 24-hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Measurement (ABPM) is recommended. Does Masked Hypertension need to be treated with drugs? Yes, you need medical treatment, the blood pressure goes beyond the normal range, which will cause damage to your blood vessel.

Classification of Masked hypertension (high blood pressure)

Isolated Nocturnal Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Isolated Nocturnal Hypertension

This is also a type of masked hypertension. There are about 8% people, the daytime blood pressure is normal, but at night, when he sleeps, his blood pressure is elevated. See a doctor is usually in the day, at night to sleep, the doctor is not possible to measure your blood pressure. This is called Isolated Nocturnal Hypertension.

How Found?

Postural Hypertension (high blood pressure)

The blood pressure measurement each in supine, sitting and standing position is preferred whenever possible, where a difference than 20 mmHg between any two positions is called postural hypertension. It is difficult to identify high blood pressure from a patient whose blood pressure is elevated at supine position yet normal at sitting position, since measurement in sitting position is the routine practice. high blood pressure can be determined in the presence of elevated blood pressure in standing position even when the supine measurement is normal.

How Found?
Take blood pressure at different positions, or ABPM.

Anti-White coat hypertension (high blood pressure)

Some other people may, in contrast, have the blood pressure measurement normal at a clinic but elevated at home; this is called Anti-White Coat Hypertension.

How Found?
Checking your blood pressure at home, or ABPM.

It is recommended that everybody at least one blood pressure measurement yearly.

We know that more than half of the high blood pressure is not symptomatic, but the damage of blood pressure to blood vessels is stealthily occured, the patients until the occurrence of myocardial infarction, stroke, and even kidney damage, kidney failure, then found that he had hypertension, it's too late!
